The District Magistrate stated that efforts are being made to provide all necessary facilities for pilgrims on the yatra route as per the directives of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed an environmentally friendly, maintenance-free, and cost-effective bio-digester technology for human waste disposal in high-altitude areas. These bio-toilets are equipped with a bio-digester container underneath, which contains anaerobic bacteria. These bacteria convert sewage waste into water and gas. This clean technology eliminates the problem of sewage waste disposal, making it highly efficient and eco-friendly.
